The content is similar to the content I created on here (lifestyle & diy-esque) but I find it to be a much easier setup.

Reasons To Live: #226-237 | lifestyle

hello friends! I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all. -Jan 3. 2016

hi hello!
I hope that you are having a bestest day that is not sucky, and if it is, I hope you watch funny and or cute videos to make it better! Here's a cute quote that I really like! I know my life has been super busy, (read my last post for more details!) but it's also been SO amazing and wonderful and all sorts of awesome.

In this spirit of lovely things happening to me, I wanted to reflect on all of the great things and make a reasons to live! It's been AGES since I did one (I think I mention this in every single RTL) but loads of cool things have happened and I want to share!

Also!! I know that these posts are a lighthearted and really nice way (for me) to reflect on the good things happening, but if you are ever having scary/bad/not good thoughts, please, please, please do not hesitate to call The National Suicide Prevention Hotline [1-800-273-TALK(8255)] or the Trevor Project Lifeline [1-866-488-7386]. Someone will be available on both 24 hours a day. Please remember that every single one of you is a wonderful, incredible, talented individual who deserves good things.

226: High School Graduation I know that this is super cliche, but I am so incredibly
happy to be done with high school. Not really academically, but I'm really proud of myself for getting through it, emotionally, and I'm working to get through all the emotional (and physical) damage that I did to myself in the last four years.

227: Moving Houses! For the last four years, my family and I have rented out our home to another family so that my sister and I could go to a specific high school! However, now that we're done with high school, we got to move back into our home! I was super excited about this, because I have so many wonderful memories in this home.

228: "A" My bestest friend in the world, (for my birthday) took an A (for Archita) and collaged all of these lovely words and quotes that she thought represented me or were things that I should strive to be. It's one of the nicest things anyone's done for me, and I'm a huge sucker for sappy things like that.

229: Morphe 350 Palette I know this is a bit (or a lot) superficial, but (if you couldn't tell) makeup is a huge part of my life. I love playing around with colors and creating fun looks and practicing my skills. For my birthday, my sister got me the Morphe 350 palette, and I genuinely started crying. She's heard me talk about it a bunch, but I never bought it because it seemed expensive, and I am so in love. I use it every single day and it's just the best.

230. Dancing with the lights off At my going away/graduation party, we moved some tables around and turned off the lights, and played some really great dancing music, and danced! It's a weird kind of feeling to explain, but I felt so lovely and loved and incredibly, gorgeously happy.

231. Little kids who want to hold your hand Typing that out makes me sound a little creepy, but I absolutely love little kids, and at my birthday party, one of the girls (she's 4 years old) was so sweet and she wanted to draw with me and when we were dancing, she held my hands and I felt so enamored. Having the trust and love of a child is one of the best, beautiful sacred things in the world.

232. Good Friendship There's this post that I liked on tumblr, and I liked it about a month ago, when I only had three other friends, who are all amazing and wonderful people, but I didn't really have a big group of people who I hung out with 24/7. And, now!! I have a group of like 6 friends and we're so close and we eat lunch and dinner together, and I feel so incredibly loved and it's just a great feeling.

233. My Roommate!! She's so sweet and lovely and her name is Simmy and she's the best! We both are really into makeup and fashion (her more in fashion, and me in makeup) so we take the same amount of time to get ready, but spread out in different ways. We're super different people, but in our core beliefs we're super similar so we get on very well.

234. Birthday Cake! It was my roommate's birthday a few days ago, and my
roommate's parents' (being the cutest people ever) ordered a birthday cake all the way from San Diego and had it shipped to our dorm!! It makes my heart so happy!!

235. SLFL Mountain View It's happening today, and I really wanted to (irrationally) go home and be there just for the concert, but I'm watching all the videos on twitter and instagram, and I'm just really proud of 5SOS and how far they've come since ROWYSO Mountain View!

236. Going Makeup Free In the past week, I haven't worn makeup for a few days, and it's been a very interesting feeling? I usually feel super uncomfortable when I don't wear makeup, because it bring out all of my insecurities, but I think a) because I have early morning classes, and am pretty lazy, and also b) have a really great group of friends who I'm so comfortable around, I don't feel a big pressure to wear makeup which is pretty cool and big step in self love for me!

237. LGBT+ Student Alliance A few friends and I went to the "call out" meeting, which is basically a meeting where you get an intro to the club, and it was one of the coolest things ever! We got these little name tags, and we wrote our name and also our gender pronouns, which makes me so happy! It was an incredible loving environment, and I felt so great!

Thank you so much for reading this post, and for reading about me! In
the comments below, please tell one amazing thing that's happened to you lately!

Love,
Archita

Reasons to Live: #211-225 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016

hi hello!
I hope you're all having a lovely day!

Before we get into the post, I just want to say: each and every one of you is a lovely and wonderful person, and I hope that only good things happen to you. If you are ever having scary thoughts, please, please, don't hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) if you are in the United States. Someone will be available to talk to you 24/7.

211. Mermaids I love mermaids and lately, I've been super obsessed with them. I really want to dye my hair multi colored, but my mum is major against that!

212. Spontaneous Hair Cuts I do this. a lot. and not even professionally, just me and my kitchen scissors. I know, it makes your hair super uneven, but I'm just way too impatient to schedule an appointment.

214. Matte Nail Polish I want matte polish sooo bad! it looks so cool and chic, and a really lovely combination of badass and classy.

215. Formal/Prom I finally bought my ticket! I was super confused about the price, so I had to pay $15 more than the original price, but I'm so excited! Mine is on May 20th, and I'll share my pictures and makeup shortly. Until then, read: 10 Things to Know BEFORE prom!

216. Cute Couples My friend Lauren and her boyfriend are so adorable. I don't know her boyfriend very well, but she's always talking about him and all the lovely, sweet things they do together.

217. Childhood Homes I'm moving back into mine! I'm currently a senior in high school, and when I was in the 8th grade, my family and I moved house, renting an apartment so i could go to a specific high school. At the end of May we are moving back into it (after all of my finals are over) and I extremely excited.

218. Redecorating My parents bought the house when my sister and I were going into first grade, from people who owned the house for about ten years, and the people who rented it after also had younger kids, so the house received plenty of wear. My parents have decided to remodel the kitchen and remove the carpet, and they're letting me help with the process.

219. Granite Recently, as part of the remodel, I've been coming along with my parents to chose exactly what the house should look like. I've always loved decorating and fixing up areas, so these trips have been pretty fun for me. We just chose the granite for the kitchen countertops, and I'll be posting more about the remodel in a separate post!

220. Cruelty Free Kitty I am currently in the process of transitioning my makeup so that it is all cruelty free! I feel like such a doofus for not having done this sooner, but I naiively thought that most companies did not test on animals. I'm still on the hunt to find a cruelty free drugstore foundation, but this blog has been extremely helpful in teaching about being cruelty free and where to find products.

221. Leggings Lately I have been wearing leggings so much! I usually don't wear them, because I personally don't find jeans to be uncomfortable, and I really like the put together look wearing jeans gives you! However, in the past month, I have been reaching for leggings and yoga pants so much. (second semester senior life)

222. Minimalistic Living I am currently doing a minimalism challenge, created by Rachel Aust! It's only been about a week of the process, but so far it's been okay. Obviously, partaking in this challenge doesn't make me a minimalistic person (as that would require a much bigger life change), but I thought it would be nice to explore!

223. My Baree Mami (Aunt) A little while back, in January, I visited India to go to a wedding and spend some time with family! I was only there for two weeks, and I spent a fair amount of time in Gurgaon, with my mom's side. My eldest Aunt on my mom's side is one of the nicest, sweetest people that I know, and lately I have been missing her so much.

224. My Grandma's Use of WhatsApp If you didn't know WhatsApp is a messaging app that connects to your phone, and allows you to individuallly and group message people all around the world. It's something that I use a ton, especially to communicate with my family in India! Recently, my Nani (mom's mom) got a smartphone, and she's been so active on it. She'll send jokes and audio messages to me, and I love how she'll forward all sorts of messages in our family group.

225. False Eyelashes I'm actually super intimidated by these, by I really need to practice my skills, because I want to wear falsies for prom! I just love how beautiful and dramatic they look, and they make any look appear way more special.

Thank you for reading this post! In the comments below, tell me one thing that you're grateful for!

Love,
Archita

Reasons to Live: #187-210 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016

hi hello!
I hope you've been having a lovely day! It's been absolute ages since I did one of these, but I love writing these sorts of posts. I find that they really allow me to happily reflect on the things that have been good in my life recently. Because I came back from India (about a month ago), I am still missing it like crazy. Thus, a lot of this post is India/family/wedding centered!

187. Mehndi. AKA Hena. It’s beautiful, it’s lovely, and it smells amazing.
188. Shaadi's. Shaadi is the Hindi word for wedding, fyi. I love everything about weddings, and the only one’s I’ve gone to are Indian ones, while I was visiting India.
189. a Barat. In case you didn’t know, Indian weddings tend to last for a few days (at least). On the day of the actual wedding, the groom (and everyone else onthe groom’s side of the family) dances over to the bride’s side. It’s about a half a mile walk, and it’s so much fun!
190. The milk that I had in Gurgaon. I went to dinner with my mom’s side of the family, and one of the shops had this delicious milk. It’s warm and sweet, and there’s some nuts sprinkled on top. It was amazing.
191. Harish Bakery. Where we went out to dinner 99% of the time while I was with my mom’s side of the family. We’ve been going there for ages now, and it just reminds me of family.
192. Protective Aunts & Uncles. This is basically everyone on my dad’s side of the family. As you all probably know, I live in the United States, but moved here when I was 18 months old. Whenever I go back to India, everyone is so nice and kind to me and I just get a million warm fuzzies
193. Spontaneous plans. A summation of my entire India trip.
194. School Uniforms. This is coming from someone who never had to wear a school uniform. Not sure, I just think there’s a lot of simplicity to them.
195. Leo getting an Oscar. I’m very proud
196. Beautiful marriages. I don’t think this requires elaboration.
197. Strong roots. My dad is so proud of his background and his family and whenever we go back to Kasganj, he’s just so happy and it’s lovely.
198. Joint families. Again, this is coming from an outsider’s perspective. There’s something so beautiful about staying connected to your family and being close.
199. Son Papdi. My most favoritest Indian sweet.
200. Panjeeri. My most favoritest Indian sweet that you can make at home.
201. Nose rings. I want one so bad. They’re so fun and pretty and yeah.
202. Kasganj. The city my dad grew up in, and where the wedding was. It’s amazing.
203. Tash (cards). We played cards so much in India and they’re just fun?
204. Bluff. This is basically the Indian version of BS.
205. Drones. My dad brought drones for some of my younger cousins (as presents for when we went to India), and they loved it! I must admit, they are pretty cool.
206. Maggie. This is basically Indian ramen? It’s delicious and amazing.
207. Centerfresh/centerfruit. Centerfresh is a gum that they have in India and you can literally go to the shop and just buy one or a hundred. They come individually packaged and they’re the best.
208. Bagged milk. Okay, I don’t know if it was the milk itself in India, or if it was the fact that it was bagged, but the milk in India was so good. The best. I loved it. Also, I just really love the idea that the milk comes in a bag and not a carton?
209. Rupee Candies. Basically, in India, you can go to the shop and get little candies for just 1 rupee (centerfresh is one of these). I love this, because I am a huge chocolate/candy/toffee lover so I got so many.
210. Sparkly eyeshadows. MY FAVORITE KIND.

Thank you so much for reading this post! In the comments below, tell me one thing you love about traveling!

Please remember that you are beautifully and wonderfully made and that you deserve all the most lovely things in the world. If you are ever having scary thoughts, please don't hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) (USA number). Someone will be able to talk 24/7.

Love,
Archita

Reasons To Live: #176 - 186 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016
_______________
hi hello!
I hope you're all having a lovely day!

176. Right at the top of the list, Demi Lovato. You may be wondering, why? Why now? Is this a sudden interest that you've taken in everyone's favorite Camp Rock star? Actually, no. I've been a fan of Demi's since, well, probably when Camp Rock came out. I remember watching the movie, and relating immensely to a shy girl who wrote song lyrics and wanted to sing them out loud (this was when I was ten
years old, and still thought I had a good voice, btw). Recently, I actually had the wonderful opportunity to MEET HER! The experience was lovely, and I only remember weird snippets of it, but omigosh it was amazing. I posted the picture on my instagram, and there it is to the right. (Very low quality, I know, but I had to include it!).

177. On that note, Camp Rock. I know, I'm so childish. I actually am, though? Just the other day I was watching Lemonade Mouth (another Disney movie, that's on Netflix) and texting my best friend, Natalie about it. I kind of rambled a ton about Camp Rock, when I was talking about Demi, but let me say it again, I absolutely adored (and still adore) it.

178. I have a feeling I'm going to be referencing loads of famous people in this one. The 1989 Tour has to be of the best tours (I'm actually just saying that, as I don't know how to chose a favorite concert, they've all been magical) I've been to. I made a whole blog post on that, linked here, but I will say, that the post is a bit sub par, and I was trying to be "professional" so I didn't really write a lot about the tour. I don't care much about that, anymore. 1989 was a beautiful tour. I went with my twin sister and one of our best friends, and it was a beautiful night. Taylor Swift, one of my idols, does an amazing job of connecting with the crowd and making everyone feel special. I truly felt like a princess that night.

179. How could I talk about 1989, without talking about the woman behind it all, Taylor Swift. For those of you who aren't totally obsessed with her, Ms. Taylor Alison Swift just turned 26, this past Sunday. I will save you all from that rambling, which if you're interested you can see on my tumblr, but let me just say, that Taylor is an absolute sunshine and I am so grateful for her and I am so proud of everything that she's accomplished.

me and my sister @ otra santa clara
180. Crazy things happened last Sunday. One Direction had their last every performance before they take a break! Eeek, I am so very nervous. I know that they deserve a break, as they've been touring like crazy for the past few years, but it is still a bit sad. Their last performance was on the X Factor UK, and was extremely emotional. I might have cried!

181. I'm sure this is very predictable + typical, but Holiday Break! I'm so excited because my break starts in just a few hours (as I'm writing this during my second period final -- no worries, I've already finished) once I take my 4th period Java final! I'm super excited because I've literally been counting down since, well probably November! December is one of my most favoritest times of the year, because I love decorating, and present giving, and all kinds of lovely thing.

182. Another really important person, who I'm so grateful for is my best friend, Natalie. She's been on this blog a couple of times in outfit of the day posts! We met in the sixth grade, and so we're approaching our six year friendaversery soon! Natalie is sweet and lovely and she's always helping me out, whether it be to explain Calculus to me, or by letting me practice her make up skills! Her birthday is this Saturday (19th Dec) and she will be 18, so I am very excited.

183. Speaking of the holidays, Christmas! I'm not a Christian, but I have always loved Christmas ever since I was a young girl, decorating my tree and leaving out milk and cookies for Santa! Now, for me, Christmas is a wonderful way to give presents to my family friends, and all the people who I love around me.

184. This is kinda unrelated, but also very exciting, Vidcon. If you didn't know, Vidcon is a conference type thing where YouTubers can go and meet with fans and other creators! It's a pretty amazing thing, and I am going in 2016 with a few friends + my sister! I'm super duper excited, who wouldn't be, as I've been wanting to go since I first started watching YouTube!

185. Unrelated to the rest of this list, but relating to Vidcon, Disneyland. Vidcon lasts until Saturday, and my friends and I have made plans to go to Disneyland on that Sunday. I'm very excited, as I am a massive fan of Disneyland, and I love meeting all the princesses and fairies and characters!

186. Going back to my holiday theme, Baking. I think baking is super fun and lovely all the time, but during the holiday's, it holds a more special place in my heart. I love making cookies and brownies and all sorts of sweet goods, and giving them to my friends and family.

In the comments below, I'd love for you to tell me one thing that you
are thankful for this holiday season!
lots of love,
Archita

Reasons to Live: #166-175 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016
__________________
hi hello!
Here’s another installation in my Reasons to Live series, aka things that make me really happy!

166. The way the leaves smell on a summer night. This is my goodbye to summer.

167. Birthday Parties. Mine was on Saturday (the 8th of August) and I had such a wonderful time! I’ll be posting pictures soon!

168. Girls Who Code. This is a repeat reason (I think), but I was part of the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program, and I had such an intense, educational, and fun time! I’m thinking of doing a post on my experience… Thoughts?

169. Tech Shop. As a part of Girls Who Code, my class got to take a trip to the Tech Shop in San Jose. It was such a cool experience, and the people there were so kind!

170. Spontaneous Haircuts. I do these. A lot. My hair was pretty damaged, and I had washed it, and then I just took some scissors and cut it off… It’s way shorter than I would prefer, but it’s not bad!

171. Girls Who Code Graduation. Again, talking about my life. My graduation was on Wednesday, and it was so much fun! I was really stressed out about it, but it was so exciting and super cool!

172. Being able to create a web app. Something that I never thought that I would ever say. For our final project, my team and I created a web application! It took a lot of work, but it was so rewarding!

173. Skindex. AKA the web app that we created. Essentially, skindex is an app that allows you to find the best foundations, moisturizers, toners, etc., based on your skin type.

174. Coding. It’s so cool and fun, because whenever you succeed and the program that you’re writing works, you get this immense sense of joy! Also, it’s really interesting.

175. Penguin. This is a mention to this thing we did at my GWC class. Every day, we nominated someone who we thought had done something cool, or taken initiative, the day before, and for the rest of the day, the nominated person carried the penguin around. It was such a great way to recognize and acknowledge the wonderful things about each person.

That’s all for now. I want each and every person who’s reading this to know that they are beautiful, and wonderful, and deserve all the happiness that the world can offer them. If you ever have suicidal thoughts, do not hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Someone will be available to talk 24/7.

I love you all so much.
Until next time,
Archita

Reasons To Live: #152-165 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016

hi hello!
I hope that you're having such a wonderful day! Today I will be sharing things that make me very happy and smile and laugh and feel good!

152. Junior Prom. I really wasn't sure if was going to go or not, and I did, and it was wonderful and I loved it so, so, so much! I would really recommend going, because I had such a fun time with my friends and made beautiful memories.

153. Tapestries. This is something that we did in my Contemporary Lit. class, where we reflected on our lives, and presented them to our class. I learned so much about my class mates, and it was a beautiful, bonding experience.

154. Apricots. I'm including this, because right now, apricots are in season, and my sister is OBSESSED with them, and they make her smile a lot.

155. Watermelon. My favorite FRUIT!

156. Graduation. Most people (in the class of 2016) have graduated, and if not they're graduating soon! I think it's so amazing and wonderful to see where people are going, and how their lives are changing.

157. Cupcakes. They're wonderful.

158. Cookies. Specifically, the homemade ones that are pretty much fresh out of the oven. (I might be hinting at an upcoming blog post)

159. When your hands and toes are painted. I feel like when this happens, I have got my life together. Also, it's just fun.

160. Matt Nathanson. I had the pleasure of hearing him live a few days ago, and it was truly a top ten moment. He's incredible at interacting with a crowd, and he's so cheerful and happy. Also, his voice is AMAZING.

161. Christina Perri. I listened to her at the same concert as the one I saw Matt Nathanson, and again, I cannot say enough nice things about her. She's so cute, and energetic, and it's so clearly visible, when you watch her perform that she's in love with what she does. I think that kind of passion is beautiful, and I think she's so amazing.

162. Beautifully colored scrapbooking paper. I recently bought a GIANT pack of scrapbooking paper, and the sheets are so beautiful and colorful with all sorts of prints, and that makes me happy.

163. People who compliment other people, just cause. This is me thanking the cute little old lady at work last week who called me pretty and then said "I must get that a lot" because it MADE MY DAY. (ps. no I don't get that a lot)

164. Lasting friendships. My dad's friend (they went to high school together) came and visited the US, from India with his family. Both families had dinner together, and I found it really cool that they went to high school together!

165. Big dreams. Relating to the above reason- They both came from really small towns and had this dream to come to the states. To me, it's really cool to think of how far they've come.

That's all for now. I want each and everyone of you to know that you're a wonderful and beautifully made person, and that I hope life brings some magic your way. If you're ever having some scary thoughts and want someone to talk to, please don't hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Someone will be available to talk 24/7. 💕💜💙

Reasons To Live: #141-151 | lifestyle

hello friends! I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.
-Jan 3. 2016

hi hello!
I hope that you’re all having a wonderful day/night/afternoon/whatever time it is right now. I’m so excited to share this post with you, because I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve posted a ReasonsToLive!

141. Love with Food: This is probably one of my most favoritest snack boxes ever.

142. Elephants: Let’s just take a second to appreciate them. Because they’re adorable and cute and fabulous and just amazing creatures.
143. Smelling like Sugar; NO JOKE. Someone a few days ago told me that I smelled like sugar and I don’t know, that’s just such a huge compliment to me.

144. Pretty, pretty Shoes: aka my junior prom shoes! I am so, so in love with these. THey’re beautiful and sparkly and stunning and so HIGH.

145. Spring: SPRING! SPRING! SPRING! The weather is pretty and sunny and beautiful and I am in love.I think this is possibly my most favorite season ever and I am so, so, excited.

146. Graze: I really liked the little snack boxes, because they’re so varied! Again the haul on this will be up soon!

147. Compliments: People who give compliments, people who get compliments, just compliments and nice things.

148. Braids: Recently, I’ve just really loved wearing my hair in two braids. I don’t know why. I don’t typically “do” my hair at the morning like that, but just during class when I’m bored.

149. Christmas videos: I love, love, love, them. My most favorite one is Louise and Zoe’s gift giving videos. ALL OF THEM. They’re so kind and sweet and loving and ADORABLE.

150. Junior Prom: I think this was on my last list too, but I prom was on Friday and it was wonderful! The music wasn’t the best but I had such an amazing time.

151. Beautiful Friends: Talking about Natalie and Anchita! If they let me, I’ll post a few pictures from prom below because they both looked absolutely stunning!

Thank you for reading this post! Please, please remember that you are important and kind and wonderful you absolutely deserve life. If you are ever feeling upset/suicidal/need someone to talk to, do not hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Someone will be available to talk 24/7.

Reasons to Live: #126-140 | lifestyle

hello friends!
I have since switched to blogging on wordpress (architaxb.wordpress.com), producing about the same lifestyle + diy-esque content that used to be on here! I've left all 'reasons to live' posts, as well as my original first post that began it all.

____________
 hi hello!
I hope that you're all doing wonderful! I haven't done one of these in a while, and so, I figured, it was due time to put another list up! Basically, a list of things that make me happy!

126. Winter Break. AKA ski break. AKA a perfect time to relax and it's wonderful and amazing.

127. It's almost SPRING. I think possibly my most favorite season ever and I'm so excited and delighted and I just want it to happen.

128. Waterfalls. They're pretty cool and they make me smile.

129. GOL GAPPU'S BDAY. I don't want to put her real name, for privacy reasons (she's super worried about that stuff), but she's a family friend and I'm so happy and she's finally 14!

130. Instagram. I love it. I just made one! link here. And it just makes me happy and I really like it.

131. Aishwarya Rai Bachan. I absolutely adore her.

132. Rings. My favorite accessory ever. I always forget that I have some, because i keep them in an old glasses case, but I really like them.

133. ULTA. The closest one to me used to be pretty far away, but one that's really close to me just opened and I am so happy. Ulta's basically like heaven for makeup. A haul will be up soon!

134. Nature Box. I ordered their trail package thing, and it came a while ago, and THANK GOSH, because I was having quite possibly the worst day ever. I'm really happy and I enjoyed it a bit! I will be putting up a mini review type post on that soon!

135. Homemade/DIY Colored Candles. I'm basically promo-ing myself, but I am truly in love with these and I can't get enough of them! If you want to see what I'm talking about, the link is here.

136. Travel sized makeup. It’s just so cute and wonderful and you can take it everywhere.

137. Vanilla Bean Noel. It’s a bath and by works christmas scent. I use it all the time. I am obsessed.

138. Birthday Presents! My friend, Natalie’s birthday was ages ago! In December, to be more precise. Her presents have been sitting in my room for about 4 months, and I finally got around to giving them!

139. Accomplishing a big clean or house project. As in like, when there’s something you’ve been meaning to clean or fix or tidy or whatever, and you keep forgetting to, and then when you do it’s amazing!

140. Junior Prom. I’m going! Not with a date or anything, but just with my friends! I’m really excited! Be expecting loads of prom related posts!
I hope that each and everyone one of you reading this know that you are worthy and capable of living on this planet. You all deserve to be here. You are beautifully and wonderfully made. If you’re having suicidal or self harming thoughts, please don’t be afraid to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Someone will be available to talk 24/7.

Reasons to Live: #111-125 | lifestyle

hello friends!

hi hello!
I haven’t done one of these in ages (it’s been more than a month) and I’m so sorry about that!! However, I’m so excited to have one for the new year!

111. Being made a full time cashier. I don’t want to say where b/c that’s a bit of personal detail, but I’ll explain this one. Basically, I was hired as a seasonal cashier PT, which means that after 4-5 months, all of the managers would decide whether or not to keep me on. And the decided I was worth it!! I dunno, it makes me really happy!

112. Final grades for the semester. I know that this might not be a positive for a lot of people, but this year I worked so hard and I got my GPA + my grades up! I’ve mentioned this briefly, but last year (in specific first semester) my grades dropped a TON and I was really worried about the future. So I worked super hard this year, and I am so proud of where I’ve gotten.

113. The Sun is coming out! I live in NorCal, so it’s never super cold here or anything, but as I type this. it’s getting exceptionally sunny on my arms.

114. After Christmas shopping/sales. Basically amazing deals on everything. I did a ton of shopping, and I made a blog post on it which will be linked here.

115. Summer Programs. This is another super nerve wracking one, but I'm applying/looking at loads of different summer programs to figure out exactly what I want do with my life. If you're still in high school, I strongly urge you all to find some in your area of interest.

116. Girls Who Code. It’s a summer program. I really want to do it! Basically, they don’t require any previous knowledge on coding or computer science (thank god!) and basically just want to show teenage girls that coding/computer science is an available career. They’re pretty cool, I think. The link to their site will be here.

117. Teachers who are kind enough to offer second chances. My contemporary teacher (I think I’ve raved about her before) is so kind and is allowing us to make up any work before grades are due. I dunno, I think it’s really nice of her to do that!

118. Teachers who are kind enough to write recc. letters. Or fill out long forms. Seriously, they’re the best. My physics teacher said that he would be “more than happy to” fill out some forms for me which I found very kind and sweet.

119. New Shoes! I got new shoes! During after Christmas/New Year Shopping! I’ve needed new shoes for such a long time, and I’m so so so happy that I got these ones! They’re a bit different looking so I’ll have to play around with some outfits with this one.

120. New Binder Dividers. My last ones were getting so annoying, and I really didn’t want to go out and buy new ones, so I did a simple little DIY, and now they look so amazing! The DIY is already up. The link is here.

121. New Phone Cover. I used to have an OtterBox because I’m clumsy and I feel like they’re really safe. But I lost the outer shell thing, and then the case was kind of falling apart so I figured it was time to buy a new one. The picture to it is below, and I love it so much!

122. Changing up desk decor. Is that a thing that other people do? Or is it just me? Again, super simple DIYs that make me so much happier. I will be posting a mini blog post debuting it once I had some finishing touches.

123. Twinkly Lights. I keep them up way longer than is socially acceptable. They make me really happy and it just makes the room look really cheerful and happy. Plus, they work as a super amazing nightlight,

124. Randomly deciding to chop of bits and bobs of your hair. Let me explain. On the first of January, my sister and I were making fun of people who are like “new year, new me”-which we do every year. But then, we were like, hmmm maybe we should cut our hair.

125. Skying with Grandma’s. So a few days ago, I wrote my grandma a letter (not a big deal, I love writing to her) and I was talking about how I wish I could see her (because she lives in India). And then we skyped with her, and my aunt and uncle, and my cousins. It was so much fun and loving and it made realize how much I love her and miss her. Warm Fuzzies all around.

There is a purpose for you to exist and there is a reason that you are on this world. You are loved and you are important and worthy. Please, please, please never forget that. If you are contemplating suicide and/or need someone to talk to, don't hesitate to call 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Someone will be available 24/7. I love you.

much love,
Archita
